Wwf:writer's-manual
From wikiWHYfiles
Please follow these instructions to write an article in proper 'why article' format that is followed throughout the website. Try to provide genuine and correct information as far as possible but do no worry if you cannot do it all satisfactorily for the first time. The blessing of a wiki is that the content is flexible and can be edited hence improved by anyone. Since it is a collaborative mission so every bit from every one counts. So enjoy and start exploring.
[edit] Check These Before You Start Writing
- Before writing to check for your article topic. Search the wikiwhyfiles and make sure that the topic or the question that you are going to answer has not been already answered. If the why article already exists then improve it by adding to it.
- Follow the guidelines and the policy of wikiwhyfiles, otherwise your article will be deleted.
- Try to make your articles as original as possible. Add what you think can best explain a why question. If you refer from some textbook or online resource please do mention them in the 'More' sub heading.
[edit] Your Article Title
Make sure you express your article title as simply and elegantly as possible. Statements could make different meaning to different people. So try and use very simple language and avoid long titles. Your 'why articles' start with 'Why', so do check whether your article title is in correct question format and is not rhetorical. For e.g. 'Why me' is not a proper question but 'Why bad luck always strikes me' is. The best titles use the fewest words. They should contain the keywords that someone would put into a search box if they were looking for it.
